- The two stations, Wallgate and North Western, sit a hundred yards apart on the southern edge of the centre, and the roads around them and up Wallgate stay busy through the day. With the long-running town-centre redevelopment closing and narrowing streets in phases, an earlier slot gets the van closer to the door.
- Close-in stock is dense Victorian and ex-pit and mill terraces with the front door straight onto the pavement and a rear entry down a back alley, so say whether we load from the front or the entry.
