Extras

Optional add-ons

Request these in your quote. All priced within the same booking.

  • Internal windows and frames
  • Carpet cleaning by room before the furniture lands
  • Fridge or freezer wipe-out if one's been left behind
  • Wall and paintwork spot-clean for marks and scuffs

Scope limits

What's not included

So there are no surprises, here is what sits outside the standard clean. Several of these can be added on request.

  • Clearing furniture, boxes or rubbish left behind, this needs sorting before we arrive
  • Moving or disconnecting appliances; we clean around and behind where they stood
  • External windows above ground floor, gutters, or anything needing ladders outside
  • Carpet shampooing, oven and fridge interiors unless added on at booking
  • Wall washing or repainting over scuffs beyond a spot-clean of marks
  • Damp, mould or pest problems, which are repair jobs rather than cleaning
  • Garages, lofts, sheds and gardens unless agreed in the scope first

Common problems

Typical issues we tackle

  • Grime in cupboards and wardrobes the last lot never touched
  • Greasy kitchen and the gap where the cooker used to sit
  • Limescale build-up on bathroom taps and screens
  • Dust and cobwebs in corners that only show once the rooms are bare
  • Wall and paintwork marks the previous furniture was hiding
  • Skirting boards and radiator tops thick with dust hidden behind furniture

How long it takes

These are typical UK timings for an empty property and a rough guide only. A place left in poor condition, or one we clean around furniture, takes longer.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between this and an end of tenancy clean?

Same kind of deep clean, different reason. An end of tenancy clean is aimed at a letting agent's check-out and getting a deposit back. This is for moving home as an owner: cleaning a place you've bought before your things go in, or leaving the house you've sold decent for the next owner.

Should the property be empty when you clean?

Ideally yes. With the rooms bare we can get inside the cupboards, behind where the appliances sat and right into the corners, which is the whole point. We can still clean around furniture, but it's slower and a few spots stay out of reach.

We've just bought a place. Can you clean it before we move in?

That's most of what we do here. Book it for the gap between getting the keys and the removal van turning up, and you walk into somewhere already cleaned rather than scrubbing someone else's kitchen on day one.

How much does it cost?

We don't put a fixed figure up because no two places are the same. We quote on the size of the property and how it's been left, then confirm the price before you book. Send the details above for a number.

Do you bring everything, or do I supply anything?

We turn up with our own kit and products. If the water or power isn't on yet at the new place, tell us when you book, because we do need both to do the job properly.

What is the difference between a move-in and a move-out clean?

The work is the same deep clean; only the timing and the goal differ. A move-out clean leaves the property you are vacating ready for the next person or for a handover. A move-in clean gets the place you are arriving at done before your things land, so you are not scrubbing someone else's kitchen on day one.

Can you clean to the inventory or check-out list?

Yes. If you are moving out of a rented place and have a letting agent or landlord check-out list, send it over and we will agree the scope against it before booking, in writing. That way the clean matches what they will be inspecting rather than a generic list.

Do I need to be there on the day?

No. Plenty of clients leave a key or arrange access through the agent and come back to a finished property. We do need water and power on at the address, so let us know at booking if either is still off.

What if the agent or landlord flags something afterwards?

If something within the agreed scope was missed, let us know promptly after the clean. We will review it and arrange a return visit where appropriate under our re-clean guarantee. Agreeing the list against the check-out sheet up front is what keeps this rare.
