FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you do inside and outside, or just one?

Either. Outside is the usual ask, but we'll do internal glass too, and internal is always doable since it doesn't depend on the weather or reaching up the outside of the house. Say which you want when you get in touch and we'll price it.

How high can you reach?

We cover standard houses and low-rise. Ground floor and first floor are straightforward, and we use a reach-pole fed from the ground for the upper windows on a normal two or three-storey house. We don't do high-rise, abseiling or cherry-picker work, so if your building needs that we're not the right firm.

What about the frames and sills?

Included. We wipe the frames, clean the sills and clear out the tracks, because clean glass over a filthy frame looks half-done.

Will rain ruin it the next day?

Clean rainwater doesn't spot glass, so a shower won't undo the work. Heavy weather on the day is the problem: we can't get a good finish outside in driving rain or a hard frost, so if it's bad we'll rebook the outside and crack on indoors if you've asked for both.

Can you get rid of the white spots on the glass?

Usually, yes. Those are hard-water and limescale marks, often from a sprinkler or run-off, and they come off with the right treatment. Ones that have been baked on by sun for years can leave a faint shadow, and we'll tell you straight if we think that's the case.
