Deep cleaning checklist
A room-by-room list of what a one-off deep clean reaches that a weekly tidy skips. Print it, or save it as a PDF, and work through it top to bottom.
A deep clean is a one-off reset that gets to the built-up grime a regular clean never reaches: behind the appliances, the extractor, the grout, the skirting and inside the cupboards. Work top to bottom, room by room, and leave the kitchen and bathrooms until last as they take the most time.

Kitchen
- Oven, hob and extractor degreased, filter cleaned (if booked)
- Behind and under the fridge, washing machine and cooker where they pull out
- Worktops, splashbacks and cupboard fronts degreased
- Inside cupboards and drawers wiped (cleared first)
- Sink, taps and drainer descaled
- Tiles, grout and sealant scrubbed
- Bin area cleaned and deodorised
- Floor washed, edges and corners included
Bathrooms
- Limescale off taps, shower screen, tiles and around the toilet base
- Grout scrubbed where it has discoloured
- Shower head and tray descaled
- Extractor vent and reachable ledges dusted
- Mirrors, chrome and glass polished
- Cabinets wiped inside and out
- Floor washed, edges and corners included
Bedrooms and living areas
- Skirting boards, picture rails, door frames and tops of doors wiped
- Behind and under furniture that moves safely
- Light fittings, switches and sockets dusted; cobwebs off corners and ceilings
- Internal windows, sills and tracks
- Radiators and behind them where reachable
- Carpets vacuumed including edges; hard floors mopped
Whole-home detail
- Tops of wardrobes, shelves and high ledges dusted
- Door handles, switches and high-touch points sanitised
- Internal glass, mirrors and picture frames polished
- Vents, extractor grilles and reachable ducting dusted
Often added on
- Inside the oven, if not already in the scope
- Inside the fridge or freezer (defrosted first)
- Internal windows beyond easy reach
- Carpet or upholstery steam clean
