What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean keeps on top of the surfaces you use every day. A deep clean is a one-off reset that gets to everything underneath, behind the appliances, the extractor, the skirting, the grout, inside the cupboards, the stuff a weekly tidy never touches. It takes longer because we're working a fixed room-by-room list rather than a quick once-over.
How much does a deep clean cost?
There's no flat rate, because a tidy one-bed and a four-bed that's not been done in a year are very different jobs. We quote on the property size, the condition, how much has built up and the access, then confirm the price before you book. No charge gets added on the day.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
If you want the insides of cupboards and drawers done, clear them first so we can get at the surfaces, or ask us to add that to the job. Otherwise nothing. We bring our own kit and products.
Can you move the fridge and other appliances?
Where they pull out safely and there's room, yes, we'll get behind and under them. Some are plumbed in or wedged in tight, and we won't force anything that risks damaging a floor or a connection. Tell us what you've got and we'll say what's reachable.
How long does a deep clean take?
Depends on the size and the state of it. A small flat can be a few hours; a larger house that's been let go is most of a day. We give you a realistic time window with the quote so you can plan around it.
Are the cleaning products and equipment included?
Yes. We bring our own products, cloths, machines and the kit for descaling and degreasing, so you do not need to supply anything. If you would rather we used a specific product, for a stone worktop or a finish you are careful with, tell us when we scope the job and we will work with it.
How often should I book a deep clean?
Most homes do well with one every three to four months, or two to three times a year, on top of regular upkeep. Busy households with pets, children or a heavily used kitchen tend to want them more often. A place that is rarely used, or already cleaned weekly, might only need one a year.
Do I need to be home while you clean?
No, as long as we can get in and out and you have shown us round or left clear notes first. Plenty of people leave a key or give us access details and come back to a finished job. If you would rather be there, that is fine too.
Will a deep clean remove built-up limescale and grease?
We take off most of it. Months of limescale on taps, screens and tiles, and baked-on grease around the hob and extractor, come up well with the right products and time. What will not always lift fully is etching where limescale has pitted the surface underneath, or staining that has gone into worn grout or old enamel. We will tell you on the day what is dirt and what is permanent marking.
