Extras

Optional add-ons

Request these in your quote. All priced within the same booking.

  • Inside the oven (it adds real time, so we price it separately)
  • Internal windows and frames within reach
  • Inside the fridge or freezer when it's been emptied
  • Ironing for an agreed stretch of the visit
  • A change of bed linen if you leave it out

Scope limits

What's not included

So there are no surprises, here is what sits outside the standard clean. Several of these can be added on request.

  • Inside the oven (heavy job, available as an add-on)
  • Window glass beyond a quick wipe, inside or out
  • Carpet or upholstery steam cleaning
  • Stripping back built-up limescale or grout staining (that's a deep-clean job)
  • Behind or under fixed appliances and heavy furniture
  • Sorting, decluttering or putting away your belongings
  • Outdoor areas such as patios, balconies, bins and garages
  • Walls, ceilings and high-level cleaning needing more than a step stool

Common problems

Typical issues we tackle

  • Soap scum and limescale creeping back in the bathroom between visits
  • Kitchen splashes and crumbs around the hob and toaster
  • Dust on sills and skirting boards that never gets touched in a quick tidy
  • The same cleaner one week, a stranger the next, so nothing's done your way
  • A cleaner who's rushed because the booked hours never matched the home

Typical timings

How long it takes

These are rough market guides for a maintenance visit, not our quote. The first visit usually runs longer while the cleaner gets the place to a baseline, and a fortnightly slot tends to need a little more time than a weekly one.

Property sizeTypical time
Studio / 1-bed flataround 2 hours
2-bed, 1 bathroomaround 2.5 to 3 hours
3-bed, 1 to 2 bathroomsaround 3 to 4 hours
4-bed and uparound 4 to 5 hours

Pricing factors

What affects the quote

No fixed prices. Scope, condition, and access all feed into the final figure.

  • 01How many hours the brief realistically needs each visit
  • 02Weekly or fortnightly (fortnightly takes a touch longer per visit)
  • 03Number of bathrooms and bedrooms, and how much floor there is
  • 04Any add-ons like oven, windows or ironing

3 steps

How it works

  1. 01Tell us your rooms, the must-do jobs, and whether you want weekly or fortnightly.
  2. 02We agree the hours and a fixed room brief, then set a regular slot with the same cleaner.
  3. 03They turn up, work to the brief, and you tweak it with us any time it stops fitting.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do I get the same cleaner each time?

That's the whole point of a regular slot, so yes, we keep you with the same cleaner. They learn your home and your brief and you're not re-explaining it every week. If they're ever off sick or on holiday we'll tell you and send someone we've briefed, rather than leaving you with a no-show.

How does the hourly price actually work?

It's charged per hour with a minimum booking, and the page shows the current from-rate. We don't pluck an hourly figure out of thin air. We work out how long your brief honestly takes, agree the hours with you, and that's your regular visit.

What's the difference between weekly and fortnightly?

Less builds up week to week, so a weekly visit is usually quicker. Go fortnightly and there's more dust and more in the bathroom by the time we arrive, so the same brief tends to need a bit longer. We'll be straight with you about which makes sense for your place.

Do I need to be home, and do I supply anything?

Plenty of our regulars leave a key or a door code and come back to a clean home. The cleaner brings the usual kit. If you'd rather we used your own products, say so and leave them out.

Can I change what's covered later on?

Yes, and people do. A new baby, a lodger moving out, a room that's become an office. Tell us and we'll redo the brief so week three doesn't quietly drift from what you signed up for.

How much notice do you need to cancel or reschedule a visit?

Let us know as early as you can and we'll move or skip the visit. A day or two's notice is the usual ask so the cleaner's time isn't already set aside. Going away for a while is no problem, just tell us the dates and we'll pause the slot and hold it for your return.

Is tipping expected?

No. Tipping isn't expected in the UK and your cleaner is paid properly either way. Some clients do leave something at Christmas or after a big job, but it's entirely optional and there's no awkwardness if you don't.

How many hours does my home actually need?

It depends on the rooms, the bathrooms and how much of the brief is must-do versus nice-to-have. As a rough market guide a small flat is around two hours and a larger house three to four, more for fortnightly. We work out the honest time for your brief and agree the hours with you before the regular slot starts.
