Regular Domestic Cleaning in London

Regular cleaning in London works when the brief is clear from day one: which rooms, how often, what's in and what's out. We set that down in the quote so there's no week-three drift. Most clients keep the same slot and the same cleaner.

The parking is the awkward part, not the cleaning. Most of inner London sits under a CPZ, so the cleaner can't just pull up outside, and on a recurring book that adds up week after week. We sort the key side once at the start, usually a lockbox by the door or a spare held for the same cleaner, and then the visit runs itself without you needing to be in.

A lot of our regulars are flat-shares and working couples in converted Victorian terraces, out at work when we come. The brief matters more than usual on those, because nobody's there to point at the thing that got missed. We keep the same cleaner on your slot so the brief lives in their head, not just on the quote, and the kitchen and bathroom they did last fortnight is the kitchen and bathroom they know this time.

London water is hard, and limescale creeps back onto taps, shower screens and the kettle between visits no matter how clean you left them. That's the case for a steady rhythm rather than the odd one-off. We bill by the hour against a minimum, and we'd rather set the rooms and frequency straight in the quote than have the scope quietly drift by week three.

Scope

What this booking includes

  • Kitchen wiped down: worktops, hob, sink, fronts of units, and the bin area
  • Bathrooms cleaned and the loo, basin, bath or shower sanitised
  • All floors hoovered through; hard floors mopped
  • Dusting of sills, shelves, skirting boards and the surfaces you actually use
  • Beds made or changed if you leave the linen out, and general tidy as agreed

Extras

Optional add-ons

  • Inside the oven (it adds real time, so we price it separately)
  • Internal windows and frames within reach
  • Inside the fridge or freezer when it's been emptied
  • Ironing for an agreed stretch of the visit
  • A change of bed linen if you leave it out

Helps prevent delays

Local access notes

  • Most inner-London streets are controlled parking (CPZ), so the team parks where it can and carries kit in. Tell us the nearest loading spot in your quote.
  • Congestion Charge and ULEZ zones can shape arrival windows and running costs, especially for evening visits. Share the postcode so we plan the run.
  • For flats, lift access and concierge or key-fob entry speed things up. Note the floor and how we get in (key, code, or concierge) when you book.

Quote checklist

What to include in your quote

Include these details for an accurate quote with no back-and-forth.

  • Postcode and whether you want weekly or fortnightly
  • Number of bedrooms and bathrooms
  • The jobs that matter most to you (and anything we should leave alone)
  • Any add-ons: oven, internal windows, ironing, fridge
  • How we get in: you home, a key, or a code

Hackney flat passed first time

Moving out of a 2-bed in London Fields after 3 years. The kitchen was bad. Grease on every surface behind the hob. They got it clean. Landlord did the checkout the next morning, no issues raised, deposit back in 8 days.

Good job, parking was the only hassle

Flat on a permit street in Islington. Team had to park around the corner and carry everything. Took a bit longer than quoted but the cleaning itself was thorough. Bathroom limescale that I thought was permanent is gone. Deposit returned.

Made a grubby flat look presentable

Honestly it was in a bad state. Previous housemates weren't exactly clean. Cleaners worked through it without complaint, did the oven as an add-on, left it smelling normal. Letting agent commented it looked better than the check-in photos. Can't ask for more.

Efficient, no fuss

Booked 4 days before my checkout. Got a quote the same day. Two-person team arrived on time, worked fast. Flat in New Cross. Open-plan living space, one bedroom. Done in about 3.5 hours. Full deposit back.

Solid service, slight delay on the day

Team was meant to arrive at 9, turned up closer to 10. Would've been nice to know. But the actual clean was really good. Carpets done, bathroom tiles scrubbed properly, kitchen degreased top to bottom. Landlord signed off with no deductions.

Canary Wharf flat, spotless

High-spec flat, fussy managing agent. The team understood what was needed without me having to explain everything. Checked against the inventory notes I forwarded. Mirrors, windows, inside the oven, under the dishwasher. All done. Passed checkout.

Would book again without hesitating

Bermondsey flat, 18 months of buildup. Not a disaster but it needed proper attention. The kitchen extractor especially. Black with grease. They dismantled it and cleaned it properly. I didn't even know that was something they did. Deposit dispute avoided.

Brixton studio, done properly

Small place but still needed the full treatment. Old oven, bathroom with hard water stains, skirting boards nobody had touched in years. Took about 2.5 hours. Everything covered. No arguments at checkout.

Good overall, missed one corner

Really thorough clean of a large house in New Barnet. Only issue was one bathroom cabinet that hadn't been done inside. I flagged it and they came back and sorted it. That kind of follow-through matters. Happy with the result.

Turnaround job done fast

Needed it done at short notice. Landlord had brought the checkout forward. Got booked in within 48 hours. Two cleaners for a 3-bed, about 5 hours. Carpets, oven, full clean throughout. The letting agent's checklist came back with nothing on it.

New conversion flat, immaculate finish

SE10 flat in a converted Victorian building. Tricky layout, narrow kitchen, awkward bathroom. Team adapted without complaint, spent extra time on the grout and window frames. Check-in photos matched on checkout. Nothing withheld.

Good clean, comms could be tighter

Fulham flat, 2 years in. Job itself was excellent. Very thorough, oven came up well, tiles scrubbed properly. The only thing was I had to chase for confirmation of the arrival time the night before. Not a deal-breaker but could be smoother. Deposit back in full.

Camden flat, checkout passed

Victorian conversion off Kentish Town Road. The bathroom grout had gone dark. Previous tenants' mess, not mine, but I was still liable. Team got it back to white. Letting agent signed off the next day, full deposit returned.

Mansion block in Pimlico, mostly good

High ceilings, old sash windows. Took longer than a modern flat would. They were thorough on the kitchen and both bathrooms. One built-in cupboard shelf was missed and I had to point it out at the end. They did it then. Deposit back in full.

Chiswick flat, good job, slight timing issue

Tight turnaround before the landlord inspection. They arrived 45 minutes late which caused some stress but the clean itself was solid. Oven, carpets, bathrooms all done properly. Deposit came back minus a small admin fee that had nothing to do with cleaning.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do I get the same cleaner each time?

That's the whole point of a regular slot, so yes, we keep you with the same cleaner. They learn your home and your brief and you're not re-explaining it every week. If they're ever off sick or on holiday we'll tell you and send someone we've briefed, rather than leaving you with a no-show.

How does the hourly price actually work?

It's charged per hour with a minimum booking, and the page shows the current from-rate. We don't pluck an hourly figure out of thin air. We work out how long your brief honestly takes, agree the hours with you, and that's your regular visit.

What's the difference between weekly and fortnightly?

Less builds up week to week, so a weekly visit is usually quicker. Go fortnightly and there's more dust and more in the bathroom by the time we arrive, so the same brief tends to need a bit longer. We'll be straight with you about which makes sense for your place.

Do I need to be home, and do I supply anything?

Plenty of our regulars leave a key or a door code and come back to a clean home. The cleaner brings the usual kit. If you'd rather we used your own products, say so and leave them out.

Can I change what's covered later on?

Yes, and people do. A new baby, a lodger moving out, a room that's become an office. Tell us and we'll redo the brief so week three doesn't quietly drift from what you signed up for.

How much notice do you need to cancel or reschedule a visit?

Let us know as early as you can and we'll move or skip the visit. A day or two's notice is the usual ask so the cleaner's time isn't already set aside. Going away for a while is no problem, just tell us the dates and we'll pause the slot and hold it for your return.

Is tipping expected?

No. Tipping isn't expected in the UK and your cleaner is paid properly either way. Some clients do leave something at Christmas or after a big job, but it's entirely optional and there's no awkwardness if you don't.

How many hours does my home actually need?

It depends on the rooms, the bathrooms and how much of the brief is must-do versus nice-to-have. As a rough market guide a small flat is around two hours and a larger house three to four, more for fortnightly. We work out the honest time for your brief and agree the hours with you before the regular slot starts.
